Ibiza is a surprisingly great hiking destination: coastal paths, pine forests and trails to secluded coves and lighthouses – at its best in spring and autumn.
Away from the beach and the party scene, Ibiza shows its green, original side. Numerous hiking trails lead along the coast, through pine forests and up to viewpoints and lighthouses.
Popular tours lead to the lighthouse near Portinatx, around the cliffs in the southwest with views of Es Vedrà, or through the green interior of the island.
Popular hiking routes
Among the most beautiful routes are the path to Far de Portinatx (lighthouse) in the north, the cliff trails around Cala d'Hort with views of Es Vedrà, and tours in the green interior around San Juan and Santa Gertrudis.
Best time for hiking
Spring (March–May) and autumn (October–November) are ideal: pleasant temperatures, blooming nature and clear views. In the height of summer, hiking is only recommended early in the morning or in the late afternoon.
💡 Tips
✓Bring plenty of water, sun protection and sturdy shoes.
✓Avoid the midday heat in summer.
✓Respect the paths in the nature park and stay on the trails.
