Unlike the big indoor temples like Pacha or Amnesia, a growing part of Ibiza's nightlife takes place under the open sky. Open-air means: balmy Mediterranean nights, sunsets as part of the show, and a more relaxed, summery atmosphere.
Some venues are classic open-air clubs by the pool (Ushuaïa, Destino), others are spectacularly set in nature – such as Cova Santa above a cave or Akasha in the garden of Las Dalias. There are also pool and daytime parties in the beach clubs. The best-known open-air venues include Ushuaïa and Destino (pool open-air), Cova Santa (open-air above a cave), 528 Ibiza (formerly Benimussa Park, with an outdoor floor) and Akasha in the garden of Las Dalias.
The main season runs from May to October. Daytime parties often start at noon, sunset sets in the early evening – the atmosphere is at its liveliest in midsummer (June–September).
For the big open-air events and popular pool parties, buying tickets in advance is recommended. Prices and availability change – it's best to check with the organizer beforehand.
