Dalt Vila – the old town above the rooftops
High above the harbor stands Dalt Vila, the upper town surrounded by mighty Renaissance city walls. Through the Portal de ses Taules, you make your way up to the cathedral, the castle and wonderful viewpoints over the sea. Its winding alleys with whitewashed houses, small galleries and cafés have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1999.
At the foot of the old town lies the former fishing quarter Sa Penya and the trendy La Marina district with boutiques, bars and the famous hippie market at the harbor.
Harbor, marina & nightlife
The Marina Botafoch yacht harbor attracts the international jet set – designer shops, restaurants and stylish bars line the promenade. In the evening, the city turns into a stage: from the pre-party bars in La Marina, it’s on to clubs like Pacha, which is located right at the harbor.
💡 Insider tip
The best way to enjoy the sunset is from the city walls of Dalt Vila – free and with the most beautiful view over the harbor and sea.
