The Torre de Portinatx is a classic coastal watchtower from the 18th century, like several others built around Ibiza to warn the island of attacks from the sea. It stands above the coast of Portinatx in the north of the island and is part of Ibiza’s historical defensive architecture.
Today, the tower is especially interesting because of its location: from here, you have unobstructed views over the bays and the sea. A visit is worthwhile less because of an elaborate attraction and more because of its historical character, easy accessibility, and views of the surrounding coastal landscape.
