The beach
Cala Nova lies on Ibiza’s east coast, northeast of Santa Eulalia and near Es Canar. The beach is relatively wide and framed by a natural, slightly hilly green landscape. This makes the bay feel less urban than many other beaches in the area.
The beach consists mostly of fine to medium sand, with smaller pebbles in some places. The water is usually clear, but when it’s windy there can be some movement and waves. The entry into the sea is usually pleasant, although the water depth increases at different rates depending on the area.
Cala Nova is well suited for visitors looking for a beach with a bit more space and a more relaxed atmosphere. Families usually manage well depending on the swell, but should be attentive when the waves are stronger. Thanks to its location and natural surroundings, the bay is also ideal for a quieter beach day with views of the coast.
