The beach
S’Arenal Petit is located in the north of Ibiza, right next to the larger main beach of Portinatx. The small bay is easy to reach and, together with the neighbouring bay, forms a sheltered swimming area in the middle of a tourist-developed area. Thanks to its location, it is particularly popular in high season, but feels a little more manageable than the main beach.
The beach is mostly made up of fine sand and generally slopes gently into the water. The sea here is often clear and, thanks to the sheltered location of the bay, usually calm to moderately choppy. This is pleasant for swimmers, as the water is well suited for swimming and splashing around.
S’Arenal Petit has a rather easy-going, family-friendly atmosphere and is a good fit for holidaymakers looking for a small beach with facilities. Due to its proximity to hotels, restaurants and other amenities in Portinatx, it is usually busier here than at more secluded coves. If you want a practical beach with short walking distances, this is the place for you.
