The beach
Playa de Santa Eulalia is located right in the center of Santa Eulalia del Río and is therefore a typical town beach, just a short walk from the promenade, cafés and shops. The beach stretches along the waterfront in a sheltered bay and is easy to reach on foot. Thanks to its central location, it is especially suitable for spontaneous swim stops and short beach days.
The beach consists mainly of fine to fairly coarse sand, with smaller pebble or rocky sections in some places. The water is usually calm, as the bay is well sheltered, and it generally slopes down moderately. This makes the beach well suited for swimming and for less experienced swimmers.
The atmosphere is lively, but usually more relaxed than at the island’s well-known party beaches. Families, couples and day-trippers use the beach alike, especially because of its proximity to amenities and the promenade. If you’re looking for an easy-going beach with good facilities and short walking distances, this is the place for you.
