Es Vedrà lies off the municipality of San José and rises steeply out of the sea. For many visitors, the view is one of the most memorable sights on Ibiza — not because of a building or a classic attraction, but because of the dramatic landscape and its special location off the coast. The rock itself is uninhabited and protected; what people come for is mainly the view of it.
Es Vedrà is associated with numerous myths and stories that have made the place even more famous. In fact, this is less about an “attraction” in the strict sense and more about a natural viewpoint and a photogenic stretch of coastline. The view is especially popular at sunset, when the light beautifully illuminates the rock and the surrounding coast.
