Torre des Savinar stands high above Ibiza's southwest coast near San José and is one of the island's most striking viewpoints. The historic watchtower was once built to monitor the coast and is now best known for its panoramic views of Es Vedrà, Es Vedranell and the open sea.
Visitors do not come here for a large complex or exhibition, but for the setting and atmosphere: a short walk, rugged rocky terrain and, at the end, sweeping views over the coast. The place is especially popular at sunset. However, visitors should be prepared for uneven ground in places and plan the trip more as a nature and viewpoint experience than as classic sightseeing.
