The beach
Cala Codolar is located in the southwest of Ibiza, not far from Cala Comte and not far from Sant Josep de sa Talaia. The small cove is relatively secluded and is characterised by low rocks and a rather quiet setting. Its location makes it noticeably calmer than the larger beaches in the area.
The beach consists mainly of pebbles, stones and smaller sandy stretches. The water is clear and usually gets deep fairly quickly, which makes the swimming area rather compact. When the sea is calm, the cove is well suited for swimming and relaxed bathing.
The atmosphere is natural and understated, with little hustle and bustle and none of the long beachfront promenades found in larger resorts. Cala Codolar is only partly ideal for families, because the ground is uneven and the entry into the water is not comfortable everywhere. Anyone looking for a small, sheltered cove with clear water and fewer visitors will find a suitable spot here.
