The beach
Cala Corral lies on Ibiza’s southwest coast, not far from San José, in a small rocky bay with a few houses and boathouses on the shore. The bay is much smaller and quieter than many of the island’s better-known beaches. It feels more like a local coastal spot than a classic beach for swimming.
The beach area is very narrow and consists mostly of rock, pebbles and a few small sandy patches. The water is usually clear and relatively calm because the bay is sheltered, which makes it pleasant for swimming and short stops by the sea. For long lounging days, the place is only suitable to a limited extent because of the small space.
The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, with little tourist infrastructure and correspondingly little hustle and bustle. Cala Corral is especially suited to visitors looking for a small, unspoilt bay and not expecting a big beach offer. Families with very young children will only find limited space here, while those seeking peace and quiet and bathers who like small coves are more likely to feel at home.
