The beach
Cala Gracioneta is located on the west coast of Ibiza, very close to San Antonio, and is the smaller neighboring bay of Cala Gració. The bay is framed by rocks and low vegetation, which gives it a much more sheltered and intimate feel than many other beaches in the area. Due to its small size, it feels more like a little bathing cove than a long sandy beach.
The beach consists of fine, light sand, and the water is usually calm and clear, especially when there is little wind. The entry into the sea is generally pleasant, which makes the bay well suited for swimming. However, because of its compact size, it can fill up quickly in high season.
The atmosphere is relaxed, but not secluded, as the well-known beach restaurant clearly shapes the bay. Cala Gracioneta is especially suited to couples, day visitors and anyone looking for a small, pretty bathing cove with good food. If you’re expecting lots of space, long walks or a wide range of leisure activities, this is less the right place.
