Cala Molí

📍 near San José

Small pebble bay with a restaurant between Cala Tarida and Cala Vadella.

The beach

Cala Molí is located on Ibiza’s west coast between Cala Tarida and Cala Vadella, not far from Sant Josep de sa Talaia. The bay is rather small and framed by rocks and low coastal vegetation. This gives it a sheltered feel and makes it noticeably quieter than many of the larger beaches in the area.

The beach consists mainly of pebbles and coarse sand, and the water is clear and often pleasantly calm when the swell is not pushing in from the west. Thanks to the stony ground, Cala Molí is well suited to beachgoers looking for a natural, less crowded bay. The entry into the water can be a bit uneven in places.

The atmosphere is relaxed and rather low-key; there is a restaurant on the beach, otherwise the infrastructure is limited. The bay is only conditionally ideal for families with small children, but it is quite attractive for adults, snorkelers, and visitors who prefer something straightforward. Cala Molí shows its peaceful character especially in the low season.
