The beach
Cala Xuclar is located in the north of Ibiza, in a small, sheltered bay not far from Sant Joan de Labritja. The beach is very small and feels much more secluded than many other stretches of the island’s coastline. It is characterized by simple fishing huts and the natural surroundings, which give the bay a quiet, unspoiled appearance.
The ground is mostly sand, in places mixed with pebbles and rocks, depending on the section of the bay. The water is usually clear and generally calm, especially when the wind is light, which makes the cala attractive for relaxed swimming. However, the area is limited, so it can get crowded quickly in high season.
Cala Xuclar is mainly suited to visitors looking for a small, fairly undeveloped bay with a peaceful atmosphere. Families with very small children should carefully check whether the conditions are suitable due to the limited size and rather natural access. If you expect short distances, beach service and lots of space, this is not the right place.
