The beach
Platja d'en Bossa lies on Ibiza’s east coast south of Eivissa and is the island’s longest beach. The southern section towards Ses Salines usually feels a little quieter than the livelier areas closer to the town and the beach clubs. The location is open and easy to reach, with a wide stretch of sand and views across the bay.
The beach is made up mostly of fine to medium-grained sand, and the water slopes down relatively gently. Depending on the wind and waves, it can get livelier here, but in general the sea is usually good for swimming. Because of its large size, visitors are spread out better than on smaller beaches, though it is still quite busy in high season.
Platja d'en Bossa is especially suited to beach days with plenty of infrastructure: restaurants, bars, accommodation and leisure activities are all close by. Families will find a bit more space mainly in the quieter southern section, while the whole beach is also interesting for groups and bathers looking for a long, well-equipped beach. If you want peace and seclusion, however, this is only a limited fit.
