The beach
Caló des Multons is a small, rocky cove in the north of Ibiza, close to Cala Xarraca and the village of Sant Joan de Labritja. The beach is sheltered and feels more like a quiet natural spot than a classic bathing beach. Because of its size and location, it is especially popular with visitors who prefer something secluded and simple.
The ground consists mostly of rocks and pebbles; there is hardly any fine sand here. The water is usually clear and well suited for snorkelling, as the surrounding rocks and rocky seabed attract marine life. Depending on wind and weather, however, getting in can be a little uncomfortable.
The atmosphere is calm and natural, with far less activity than at the larger beaches on the island. For families with small children, Caló des Multons is only suitable to a limited extent because of the rocky access and lack of infrastructure. If you're looking for a short break by the sea, a peaceful swim or snorkelling, you'll find a simple, authentic spot here.
