The beach
Cala Boix is located in the northeast of Ibiza, not far from Sant Carles de Peralta. The beach is surrounded by low rocky cliffs and is one of the island’s quieter coves. It feels natural and secluded without being completely isolated.
The ground consists of dark sand and fine pebbles, typical for this part of the island. The water is usually clear and slopes down moderately, so it’s good for swimming, although the pebble entry is a little firmer underfoot. When it’s windy or the sea is rough, it can be livelier here than in sheltered southern coves.
Cala Boix is especially suited to visitors looking for a quieter beach atmosphere and who can do without extensive beach facilities. Families can also manage here depending on the children’s age, although the stairs down and the pebbly beach are not ideal for everyone. If you appreciate nature, clear water and a less touristy feel, this is the place for you.
